Welcome Back!

It was great to welcome back all our students, staff, and families to the new school year and see the excitement and smiles on their faces during our first week. There were some tears from both the children and parents as some of our little friends began PreK and Kindergarten. These moments are bitter sweet as watch them grow. We are reminded of how precious our children are to us and that we want the best for them. Thank you for entrusting your children to us. Your children become our children here at school.

I would like to send a very warm welcome our new school families who join us this year. It is always a joy to share with prospective families what makes St. Mary-St. Michael School so special and unique. It is a place where every child is loved, cared for, and treated with dignity and respect each and every day. It is a place where God’s love shines through our teachers and staff and helps lift each child to be the best version of themselves as children of God. I am humbled and blessed to be able to serve you and our school community this year. It is a year of renewal as we get past the challenging years of COVID and find our new normal. Our theme we have chosen this year is ANCHORED in FAITH. What beautiful words to keep close to us this year as we bring back new activities, clubs, and experiences to our school.

We value your commitment to your child’s education and faith formation. Together we will strive to provide an excellent education that will focus on the academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth of your child. Your support and participation of school events and activities throughout the year will be very important. Volunteers will be needed to make these events successful. The next best thing you can also do is help share the great news about our school and invite them to our school functions. If you have any ideas or skills you would like to share with our school, please contact me at gtorres@stmarystmichael.org

Once again, thank you for your continued support. Wishing you and your family a restful and relaxing Labor Day weekend!

Prayerfully,

Mrs. Torres

As parents, we have committed to helping the school with 15 volunteer hours and fundraising efforts of $350.  This equates to $450 for the school year. There are multiple ways you can help out.

Our first event will be the BACK TO SCHOOL FAMILY DINNER! We are in need of baskets and gift cards for this event as well as the Wine, Beer, and Spirits Tasting on September 24th.  The value of your donations will be deducted from your HSA fundraising obligations.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions or ideas you may have. Wishing you all a great school year!
